The Wilderness of the Summer Isles-2-6 days

The Summer Isles lie on the edge of 'the Minch', with some 30 plus Islands and stacks making up this little archipelago. Wild and rugged, all but one of these islands is uninhabited.  Expect to be blessed by wildlife sightings a plenty, seals and breeding otters are at home here.  There are often sightings of whales, dolphins and even basking shark. In a kayak we can view nature at its best, we are at a level where nature finds us intriguing rather than intimidating. 

 
Each day we will inhabit a new found island and watch the light dim as we sit around a driftwood fire and look in wonder at the views of the Coigach mountains and the distant allure of the Torridon and Skye hills, never forgetting the misty outline of the Isles of Lewis and Harris.

There is so much to explore on the isles and the surrounding coastline, its intriguing sandstone architecture will entrance you each day.  If the weather permits we may venture out to the most distant Summer Isle ‘Priest  Island'.

Food-We can offer various levels of food on your trip, from homemade venison chilli, to freshly cooked lobster.  We work in partnership with 'The Achiltibuie Gardens' who provide us with amazing salads, breads, cakes, tarts.  If it is a special occasion, we can tailor make the menu to your requirements, there is nothing Julie & Alison from 'The Achitlibuie Gardens' cant grow or cook!

Equipment-We provide all your kayaking equipment and kit, including:dry trousers, sea kayak touring jacket (with latex seals on the wrists, so you stay completely dry), thermals, paddling boots, dry bags, and we can also provide you with tent, sleeping bag and inflatable matress, if you need them.
